Collaborative Design Booklet
Becoming a Graphic Design Wizard
Project Summary:
In this group project, my team—consisting of Jack Lewis, Joel Rowley, Jake Crock, and me—worked together to create a visual solution featuring a selection of phrases that serve as advice for Graphic Design students (1st and 2nd year: GD Concentration, Art & Design, Cal Poly). We incorporated quotes and selected phrases from two collections: 100 Habits of Successful Graphic Designers and A Designer's Almanac of Dos and Don'ts. We chose to deliver this information in the form of a small booklet given to every student at the start of college, outlining the rules of design. The booklet includes four separate sections: Type, Layout, Color, and Design Practices. This project was very enjoyable to create and demonstrates our progress throughout our studies, showcasing how far we have come.
